  • Absolute Software
    Makers of RayMax, the successor to RayMan. My first trial image using the RayMax plugin is on Page 3. It's a model of a quartz crystal to show demonstrate refraction.
  • Autodesk
    Makers of Autocad, 3D Studio, Animator Pro, Animator Studio and other related tools.
  • Impulse, Inc.
    Maker of Imagine modeler renderer. I have only tried Imagine 2.0 which comes packaged with a book called "3D Modeling Lab". I have used it only a limited amount, but some of the notable good qualities are the richness in procedural texture generation and the fact that it gives you the option of raytracing or scanline rendering. It deserves more of a chance than I have given it. It's a nice DOS based program now on its release 4.0 and also now offering a Windows version. It's relatively inexpensive and I'm quite curious about the Windows version myself.
